Stardust Concerts: A Place To Gather
Wendy Waldman And the Ashgrove Tribute Band…and JaKL
October 19th, 6pm
Wendy Waldman has always had a very diverse career in the music industry. She is a critically-acclaimed recording artist, as well as a writer of multi-platinum songs for other singers in musical genres ranging from country to pop, film, jazz, children’s music, and R&B. She is also a teacher, working musician, and one of the first distinguished female record producers.
The Ash-Grove Alumni was rehearsing for a show on August 25th at McCabes, when on August 19th, Joe Chambers unexpectedly died of cancer. The voice that defined The Chambers Brothers for over four decades was stilled.
Wendy will perform with her brilliant son, Abraham. Don Kirkpatrick will soar on guitar, Taras Prodaniuk will demonstrate his mastery on the bass. Scotty Babcock will shape the groove and David Horne will delight with his percussion and jug. And maybe if we are lucky- we will hear the echo of the Lion’s roar. His memory will be a blessing on us all.
